Pleated Fans for American and Other Holidays

Pleated fans, aka flag bunting, have been in use as far back as the 17th century. They are a time-honored decoration when it comes to celebrating American holidays or just for showing one’s love for country and democracy. Traditionally, flag bunting has been used for holidays like Independence Day and Veterans Day to commemorate the nation’s birth and those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service of their country.

There are plenty of ways that flag bunting can be used. They are commonly hung over a fence or below the window outside a home. They can also be hung on a stage or podium for a city-sponsored event featuring performances or speakers. Even though they are used for one-time events, keep in mind that they can also serve as everyday home décor. If you have a family member serving overseas, for example, then you can hang one alongside the American flag to show your support for the country that your loved one is fighting for.
